CASBS Welcomes 2025-26 Cohort of Fellows
The Center for Advanced Study in Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) is pleased to announce the 2025-26 class of fellows. This prestigious program brings together individuals from academia and private industry to engage in cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary collaboration. The 33 fellows selected for this cohort are a diverse and accomplished group, representing a wide range of fields and backgrounds.
The CASBS fellowship program is highly competitive, with hundreds of applicants vying for a spot in each cohort. This year’s fellows were chosen from a pool of over 500 applicants, and their selection is a testament to their exceptional achievements and potential for groundbreaking research.
The 2025-26 class of fellows includes scholars from top universities such as Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford, as well as researchers from leading companies such as Google, Microsoft, and IBM. The diversity of backgrounds and expertise within this group is a key aspect of the CASBS fellowship program, as it allows for cross-pollination of ideas and perspectives.
The fellows will spend the next academic year at CASBS, located on the beautiful campus of Stanford University. During their time at the center, they will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources, as well as opportunities to collaborate with their peers and engage with the broader academic community.
The research topics of this year’s cohort cover a wide range of areas, including social psychology, economics, political science, and computer science. Some of the fellows will be investigating the impact of technology on society, while others will be exploring the role of culture in shaping behavior. The diversity of research interests within the group is a testament to the interdisciplinary nature of CASBS and its commitment to fostering innovative and boundary-pushing research.
The CASBS fellowship program is not only a platform for individual research, but also a space for collaboration and exchange of ideas. The fellows will participate in weekly seminars and workshops, where they will have the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from their peers. These interactions often lead to new collaborations and breakthroughs, making the CASBS fellowship program a breeding ground for cutting-edge research.
In addition to their academic pursuits, the fellows will also have the opportunity to engage with the local community through various outreach programs. This includes working with local schools and organizations to share their research and promote the importance of social science in understanding and addressing real-world issues.
The CASBS fellowship program has a long and illustrious history, with past fellows going on to make significant contributions to their fields. Many of them credit their time at CASBS as a pivotal point in their careers, where they were able to explore new ideas and collaborate with a diverse group of scholars.
The 2025-26 cohort of fellows is poised to continue this legacy and make a lasting impact in their respective fields. Their research has the potential to shape our understanding of the world and inform policies and practices that can create positive change.
On behalf of the CASBS community, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the 2025-26 class of fellows. We are excited to have you join us and look forward to the groundbreaking research and collaborations that will emerge from this diverse and talented group. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of you.
