The progress of workers in Mexico brings about the progress of our country’: Claudia Sheinbaum

Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, National Coordinator of the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, emphasized the importance of cooperation between workers and employers for the well-being of the country during the XV National Ordinary Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM). In her speech, she highlighted the importance of strengthening labor rights and preventing regressions to the past.

Sheinbaum Pardo pointed out that aligning objectives and goals is crucial to maintaining the transformation of public life in Mexico. She stated that the main focus should be on advancing the Fourth Transformation and avoiding a return to times of corruption and privilege.

After swearing in the first Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation of CATEM, Sheinbaum reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring a dignified life for workers, stressing the need for collaboration between the labor and business sectors, a principle promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Pedro Haces Barba, Senator of the Republic and Secretary-General of CATEM, highlighted the achievements made possible by the cooperation between labor representatives and the government of the 4T, including the increase in the minimum wage and the elimination of outsourcing. He emphasized the importance of making decisions guided by the principles of the 4T movement.

Senator Ricardo Monreal underscored the need to strengthen the relationship between workers and the government to continue expanding labor rights under the leadership of Sheinbaum Pardo.

The XV National Congress of CATEM also included the participation of figures such as Mario Delgado Carrillo, National President of Morena, as well as governors and representatives of various institutions, who expressed broad support for the principles and objectives discussed at the event.
